Built in 1973, the 5-story, 246-bed hospital was a landmark in Southwest Detroit. After nearly two decades of vacancy, deterioration, and blight, Adamo was selected to safely remove the compromised structure and prepare the 7-acre site for new development. The demolition was completed on schedule and under budget within a 3-month timeline while prioritizing safety, environmental responsibility, and minimal impact to the surrounding community.
