Adamo demolished the 1.6-million-square-foot Georgia Dome using a carefully planned implosion, protecting nearby structures including Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the MARTA subway system. The project was completed on time and within budget, with zero OSHA-recordable incidents or lost-time injuries. Adamo achieved a 98% recycling rate, processing more than 14,000 tons of steel and 220,000 tons of concrete. Adamo’s Georgia Dome demolition project earned the 2018 World Demolition Award for Contract of the Year – US$1 Million and Over.
