City of Farmington Hills DPW Site Storm Sewer

Adamo Group has been busy installing a new site storm sewer at the City of Farmington Hills Department of Public Works (DPW) since mid-September. Crews are also removing and replacing driveway and parking areas to complete improvement efforts that were disrupted over the past year due to the installation of a new Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (WRC) water supply tower at the rear of the DPW site. Adamo is overseeing the work performed by its subcontractors to install a card-operated security entrance and exit gate, and a 40’ X 60’ enclosed storage structure. Storm sewer work is being performed with a variety of Adamo’s Caterpillar equipment, including its 330 crawler excavator, 966 loader, 416 backhoe, and 533 vibratory roller. Traffic was re-routed throughout the initial phase of the project while a portion of Halstead Road was re-paved and two new approaches installed. Crew size was increased during this phase to return traffic patterns to normal as soon as possible. Adamo is teaming with the City of Farmington Hills DPW, design engineers at OHM Associates, and the civil engineering department at the Oakland County WRC to ensure this project stays on track to meet its scheduled completion date of mid-2015.
